We are located just outside Hartsel, CO (18 miles south of Fairplay) in beautiful Park County .
From Hartsel:
Take CO9 south for approx. 2 miles, look for County Rd 53 on the west (right) side. Stay on County Rd. 53 for approx. 8.9 miles (stay right at the Y intersection), turning left on Eufala. Stay on Eufala for approx. 1 mile, where it turns into Hutke. The entry way is at the bottom of Hutke on the left side.
From Denver-2 hours
Take US 285 south to Fairplay to CO 9 south to Harsel. see above directions
Colorado Springs-1 hour
Take US 24 West to Hartsel, Turn left (south) on CO 9. see above directions.
Breckenridge-1 hour
Take CO 9 south to Hartsel, see above directions
Vail-1 3/4 hour
Take 70 east to second Frisco exit (CO-9). Take CO 9 south to Hartsel, see above dirctions
The elevation is 9000 feet (9150 highest).
Summer temperatures are ideal with the average high in the mid-70s (rarely above 80) and low in the lower 40s. Of course, you still get Colorado's 300 + sunny days/year, with a very small chance of precipitation in July/August.
